Nap Hostel and NAPartman
FAQ
Booking, arrival, rooms, the area. If you cannot find the answer, write to us.
Booking and payment
How can I book?
Use the booking form on the Book page: enter your dates, the number of guests and the type of stay, and we'll confirm your booking by email shortly. You can also message us on WhatsApp (+36 30 252 2972) or email us at info@naphostel.com.
When is my booking final?
Once we have confirmed it by email. When you send the form, you'll get an automatic email to say we've received it; our confirmation then gives you your room and the exact price.
Which room will I sleep in?
We'll choose a room for you in Nap Hostel or NAPartman based on your booking, and let you know in our confirmation. Both are at the same address, on the same floor. If you're booking a private room, you can ask for a quieter one facing the courtyard, subject to availability.
How much does a night cost?
You can find the current prices on the Rooms page. A dorm bed costs the same all year. Private rooms and the small apartment cost more between 1 April and 31 October, and also on holidays and during big events. The booking form shows you an estimated price, and our confirmation gives you the exact one.
How can I pay?
On arrival, in cash, by card or with an OTP SZÉP card.
How much is the tourist tax?
600 HUF per person per night, on top of the room price. Guests under 18 do not pay it.
What is the cancellation policy?
For individual bookings, you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your arrival day; after that, we charge the price of the first night, unless your confirmation says otherwise. The terms for groups are on the Groups page.
Arrival and departure
When are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is between 13:00 and 20:00, check-out by 10:00.
Can I check in earlier or later?
Not earlier: check-in is only possible between 13:00 and 20:00. If you are arriving after 20:00, please arrange this with us in advance.
How do I get into the building?
We get in touch with you before you arrive, and the confirmation tells you where we meet. You cannot get into the building on your own, so please let us know when you will be arriving. After check-in you get a key.
What should I bring?
A photo ID, as it is required for check-in. We provide bed linen in every room, and towels in the private rooms and the small apartment. If you sleep in a dorm, bring your own towel.
Can I leave my luggage with you?
Sorry, we cannot store luggage. Groups are the exception: by arrangement we keep their luggage until 13:00 at the latest.
Rooms
What is the difference between Nap Hostel and NAPartman?
They are at the same address, on the same floor. Nap Hostel has two dorms (7 and 10 beds) and a private room, with a shared kitchen and bathrooms. NAPartman has a three-room flat (two private rooms and the large room, a private room in winter and a dorm in summer, with a shared kitchen and bathroom) and a small apartment with its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom.
Are the dorms mixed?
Yes, all our dorms are mixed.
Is there a private bathroom?
In the small apartment, yes. The private rooms and the dorms share bathrooms: the hostel bathrooms in Nap Hostel, and the flat's bathroom in NAPartman.
Can we rent the whole flat?
Yes, the three-room NAPartman flat can be rented as a whole by groups, for 10 people, or 12 with two extra beds. You can request an offer on the Groups page.
Is there wifi?
Yes, it is free throughout the building.
Is the accommodation accessible?
Unfortunately not. We are on the first floor of an old building.
Kitchen and food
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast is not included in the price. On the ground floor of our building is Reggeli restaurant, where you can buy breakfast. The restaurant is open until 15:00.
Can I cook?
Yes. Nap Hostel and the NAPartman flat both have a shared, fully equipped kitchen, and the small apartment has its own kitchen.
The area and noise
How noisy is the area?
Király utca is the pedestrian street of Pécs, and this is where the city's nightlife happens. There are bars, pubs and restaurants all around us, and on the ground floor of our building is Nappali bar, which stays open late and regularly hosts concerts and music nights. This is one of the best things about our location: everything is a few steps away.
It also means that in the evenings and at weekends you may hear the street and the bar. We do not run the bar or the places nearby, so we have no control over the volume. Earplugs are free: you will find them in the private rooms and the small apartment, and if you are in a dorm, just ask.
Is there a curfew?
No. You get a key and can come and go as you like. Between 22:00 and 8:00 we ask for quiet in the building.
Groups
How big a group can you host?
Up to 37 people at the same time, with extra beds. Groups of eight or more get a discounted rate; you can request an offer on the Groups page.
Other
Can I bring a pet?
Sorry, no pets.
Can I smoke?
Smoking is strictly forbidden in the building; there is a designated smoking area in the courtyard.
Is there a safe?
Yes, free of charge. At reception you can get a small locker for valuables; roughly a laptop fits in it, a suitcase does not. We ask for a 2000 HUF deposit for the key, which you get back when you return it.
Can I have visitors?
Visitors are welcome in the common area only, not in the rooms.
Pécs and getting here
What should I see in Pécs?
We have collected the sights of the old town with exact walking times, and a few day trips: Pécs, the way we know it.
How far are the bus and railway stations?
The bus station is 13 minutes and the railway station 22 minutes on foot.
Where can I park?
Király utca is a pedestrian street, so you cannot drive in. Ask us before you arrive and we will tell you where to park nearby.
